Are we Rome?

How is the U.S. like Rome? Do you think the U.S. will ever fall as Rome did? Explain- what will cause or prevent the fall? If the U.S. ever does fall what type of civilization do you think will take its place?

      Did you know the U.S. was established using some of Rome's customs? Yes, it sure was. In the beginning, the U.S. used some of Rome's customs in a positive way. Now, our failings and the failings of the Roman Empire are very similar. In the United States, we have income inequality which has become a huge factor of our society. This very same factor is one of the factors that the Roman Empire experienced. War is a huge problem we have also. For the last century, all we have done is fight, fight, fight. Do you think this will cause the U.S. to fall?

      Is the U.S. destined to fall as Rome did? That is a question asked frequently these days. We're experiencing some of the problems Rome did when it fell, but we haven't been a republic as long. The difference between then and now is that we know of the problems. All we have to do is work together and fix them. If  we could come together, solve affairs with other countries, and get out of debt, we could prevent the fall. 

     What's next for the U.S. if it were to fall? The people will like one president more than any other before him and he will become king. The U.S. will become a monarchy and things will be very different. Of course, there will be protesters, because there will be less freedom. People in the U.S. like their freedom; whereas, some would rather be under a ruler rather than being a slave to another country.
